Monologue of Mooch detailing his past: HIs house was apparently 5 minutes away, but if he tries to go to his house, his parents would go to jail.

His backstory of trying to run away, too scared to end it all on the bridge, and the starvation, rape, and beaten.

ITs ironic because Mooch first came off as chicken shit. Not just a chicken, something lower, a chicken's shit. But through this monologue we see he was quite brave. Unlike Floyd who was too scared to run.

Even then though, he was not brave enough to join his brothers down in the river.

" THat was the first time I sent the shadows move like that.. THen its like I seen them everywehre. Sometimes those shadows get right down inside.

IT is revealed that Mooch hates himself for his habits.
